Sea Kayaking Doolins Wild Atlantic Coastline
North Clare Sea Kayaking aim to take you on an adventure around our spectacular coastline, a coastline that is home to some amazing sea life and beautiful scenery. They pride themselves on showing you the lesser known side of the west of Ireland – a sea less paddled – so to speak!
Tours are fully guided and all equipment is provided, including top of the range, sit-in Necky sea kayaks. Choose half or full day tours with free pick up and drop off! Tours include: Into the Wild Burren in Ballyvaughan Bay, Cliffs and Caves along Liscannor Bay, Enchanted Lake and River on Inchiquin Lake, and Island Exploration of Mutton Island.

Lahinch Adventures Work in small groups (maximum six) with a highly qualified (ISA Level 2/3) surf coach, to guide you on your way to surfing. All lessons are for two hours in the water. Whether you’re riding your first waves, standing up for the first time. Or making your first top turn or cut back, Lahinch Adventures are there to coach you.
Groups are divided by skill level so you will always be coached at your individual ability level. On offer are one-off lessons, kids summer camps. Weekend and week long courses and private one-to-one sessions, for all ages.
Lessons include: 2 hours in the water!, Small and personal groups (ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students). All equipment provided (Winter wetsuits all year round, surf board, booties, etc.). Highly qualified and experienced Level 2 instructors. Coaching tips throughout the whole lesson.

Rock Climbing in the Burren and Doolin Bouldering
Lahinch Adventures offer rock-climbing lessons for all: individuals, families, schools and other groups. No rock climbing experience is needed and they can cater for all abilities, even those nervous of heights. All rock climbing equipment is provided and climbing instructors are highly qualified.
Rock climbing lessons run for two hours in small groups of 6 (larger climbing groups can be catered for still working on small ratios). To ensure everyone receives loads of climbing time and personal climbing attention. During your rock-climbing lesson you will be introduced and taught how to use the climbing gear and ropes. Get a number of climbs and get an abseil or two in as well.
Group lessons are run every day that the weather permits for outdoor climbing. But Lahinch Adventures also have an great indoor climbing wall at there base in Lahinch.
Lessons include: 2 hours climbing, small and personal groups, all equipment provided (ropes, harnesses, helmet, etc.), highly qualified and experienced instructors
Adventure Burren. Qualified, Experienced, Knowledgeable staff can take you to a number of crags. Climb on unlisted climbs of various grades or on classic routes which are world famous. Locations vary from open mountain crag to sea cliff to small enclosed escarpments but the scenery is always spectacular!.
All activities are tailored to suit you and you don’t need to be super-fit!. Rock-climbing experiences will bring you to the mountains and coastal crags of the Burren. While our hill-walking guides will take you off the beaten track to see ancient monuments, wallscapes and an amazing variety and density of wild flowers. Max. 8 persons per activity.
Go deep underground in one of the many Cave
Backwest Adventures offer a number of caving experiences. They can customize your caving journey to cater for all activity and experience levels. Caving is a physical activity but is safe and suitable for most age groups and levels of ability.
Backwest Adventures will normally work with small groups for caving. However should you have a larger group or family they can split it and provide alternatives levels or caving trips.
Family Friendly Advenutres
A family friendly caving experience. Backwest Adventures have brought groups ranging from 4 to 75 years of age. They also have access to a range of caves suitable for those who just want to have a look around. Where you can get to appreciate the strange and wonderful surroundings.
The most popular experience is aimed at novice groups, introducing you to caves and caving through a selection of walks in wild caves. This requires some walking, clambering and (just a little!) crawling in amazing, unique surroundings!
Typically this type of novice trip takes 2 -3 hours, don’t forget ALL are welcome.
More Adventurous Trips
Catering for more experienced groups that want something a little more sporting. On this type of caving journey, climbing, rope work and even some swimming may be required. Backwest Adventures can design the trip to meet your needs as a group, just get in touch.
Extended 3-5 hour journeys underground would be the norm and would be part of our full day service.
